These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PixelForge ("Service"), operated by PixelForge ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using PixelForge, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to these Terms. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Description of Service

PixelForge is a browser-based game creation platform that allows users to design, build, and export platformer games. The Service includes a level editor, sprite animator, physics engine, and export functionality.

3. Account Registration

You may create an account using an email address and password or via Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

4. Free and Paid Plans

PixelForge offers a free tier that includes access to the full editor and up to 2 game exports. Paid subscriptions ("Pro") unlock unlimited exports and additional features.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at chaseirv16@gmail.com within 7 days of the charge.

6. School Licenses

School licenses grant Pro access to all users who sign up with the licensed email domain. School licenses are non-transferable and valid for one year from the activation date. Seat limits apply based on the license tier purchased. Refunds for school licenses are not available after the license has been activated.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of all game projects, sprites, levels, and other content you create using PixelForge ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not sell, share, or use your User Content for any other purpose.

PixelForge and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PixelForge and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the PixelForge editor or platform without explicit written permission. Games you export and create are your own property.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. We are not responsible for any loss of data or projects.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PixelForge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
